About the artist

Lilou Melville is a painter based in Surrey. Her work derives inspiration from investigating the relationship between natural living beings. Recently her work has transformed to be centred around birds and capturing the motion of their flight in abstract methods.

Melville predominantly uses acrylic mediums in a watercolour like fashion considering layer and opacity in her paintings to consider the weight of the subject and how this might convey its movement and motivation.
